Huaneng Energy and Transportation Industry Holding Co., Ltd. (HETIHC), a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Huaneng Group, manages 7 secondary enterprises and 1 listed company.

Huaneng Energy and Transportation has been deeply engaged in the supply chain business of the energy industry for 18 years. It has now gradually established an integrated intelligent supply chain platform for the energy industry, integrating "energy procurement, energy sales, energy transportation, energy finance, and energy cloud" and other capabilities.

Project Requirements

In recent years, Huaneng Energy and Transportation has grown rapidly, with a significant increase in personnel scale. However, the IP telephone sets supporting the foreign-branded IP telephone system originally used by the company have been discontinued. If third-party telephone sets are to be used, the system must be paid to upgrade and purchase authorizations, with a total cost exceeding 400,000 yuan, resulting in extremely low cost-effectiveness.

Huaneng Energy and Transportation has decided to gradually replace its existing equipment with a domestic brand telephone system and has put forward the following requirements:

01   In the early stage, extension phones of the new and old telephone systems should be able to interconnect and interoperate. In the later stage, the new telephone system shall achieve networking with the telephone system of the Group headquarters.

02   Retain the original external lines and maintain the existing usage habits.

03   Be equipped with advanced communication functions to enhance office communication efficiency.

04   Have good scalability to meet the subsequent demand for extension phone additions.

- The HWD-IPPBX can be expanded to a maximum of 1,000 extensions through authorization, eliminating the need for additional hardware purchases.

- It supports integration with enterprises' existing telephone systems, allowing old equipment to continue in use and safeguarding users' assets.

Perfect Integration of Systems

- Extensions of the HWD-IPPBX and the original telephone system achieve short-number direct dialing and interconnection.

- Without changing user habits, both the new and old system phones can use E1 trunks for normal incoming/outgoing calls and call transfers.

- The HWD-IPPBX supports the standard SIP protocol, enabling it to replace the original telephone system and achieve networking with the Group headquarters' telephone system when conditions are ripe in the later stage.

- Provides telephone conference functionality, supporting extensions, landlines, and mobile phones to join meetings, which can be initiated at any time to enhance collaboration.

- Built-in with numerous modern office voice communication functions, such as automatic attendant, call recording, Linkus softphone, multi-device sharing for one number, broadcasting/intercom, etc.

- Offers API secondary development interfaces to seamlessly integrate with third-party systems such as enterprise CRM, ERP, OA, and call centers.
